Vanity Fair – Sold to the Brennan Family of Ottawa

We are thrilled to announce the sale of Vanity Fair (“Havana”, by Geronimo) to the Brennan Family of Carp, ON. It’s hard not to have mixed feelings when selling a home-bred – Havana was our first foal 11 years ago. From eventing to jumpers to camping, she has been a lot of fun. However, we are very excited about the new partnership between Havana and Avery Brennan and look forward to great things from this pair under the excellent guidance of Stephanie Calvert at Meadowvale Farm. Congratulations on making Havana part of your family!

Havana’s sale ad:

11-year-old 16.0 hh home-bred Hanoverian/TB mare Vanity Fair (“Havana”) (sire: Geronimo – Glorieux/Argentan, dam xx: Double Sonic/Hearts N Spades). Havana has successfully shown in the 1.0 m jumpers this year with wins and good placings, and competed in eventing at training level for several years with a solid record. She is a super horse for a junior or amateur to learn the ropes. Careful and clever over fences and fast in the jump offs. Goes in a snaffle all three phases with a big, ground-covering stride and a large barrel that takes up a lot of leg (rider is 5’10). Would easily make a fantastic 1.10 m jumper (1.15 with an accurate ride), could event at Prelim with the right rider, or would be just as happy packing a novice around over smaller stuff. Three good gaits. Easy to handle on or off property and cooperative with loading, farrier, wet, etc. Very sound; recent set of flexions done. Approved for breeding with the Canadian Warmblood Horse registry achieving Premium status at her inspection. Had a foal in 2011 – he is proving to be an exceptional, well-tempered athlete and has been retained by the breeders so can be seen on the property.
